Prayers and Praises – our faithful God
Dear friends |
Thank you, Stephanie, for advice and also thanks so much for praying! |
PRAYERS |
1. Please pray for our training of 3 facilitators from Bandua, Buzi, and 2 from Vilanculos, who we will train as Missions School facilitators this week Thursday through Sunday. |
2. Please pray that the funds for cyclone relief given in February, in South Africa, will finally get through to our ministry account in Moz … for some reason SA to Mozambique transfers are very slow. Meantime, we were able to use other funds, so all is well. |
3. Pray for funding for blankets and food, and for safety on the 2nd part of our journey North, from Monday 11 April till 28 April, traveling up to Malawi border, Tetê and Zambezia, where we will do more training, for Missions School facilitators and in Trauma Counseling for kids. Pray for protection for the pastors from Cabo Delgado, Niassa and Nampula, who will travel South to meet us for the training and to fetch the practical help. |
4. Pray we may be a blessing and encouragement to these brave pastors, as we visit some of the new church plants and orphan support projects they have started up in 8 new districts. |
5. Pray for funds to reach us in time to purchase food and blankets to take with us on the 11th for the Cabo Delgado refugees and orphans from the terrorist attacks last week in Cabo Delgado. Pray for safety of the pastors delivering the help, and wisdom, grace and compassion as they apply the trauma counseling we will teach them, so they can help the many emotionally and physically wounded children amongst the refugees. |
6. Pray for a speedy end to this horrendous and pointless violence and persecution of Christian’s and other innocent civilians in Cabo Delgado. |
PRAISES1. For land about 4km from Bethel, with water and electricity, and good internet, miraculously and only by God’s grace and miraculous power, obtained in record time, with legal documents approved by government, for under 800 USD. |
This will be an office for Pro-Visao (so we wont need to pay rent any longer), an inter church ‘house of intercession for the Nations and also as accommodation for Franco and Claudia as they start out their married life. We purchased the land personally, but it was very inexpensive. A South African team has even committed to come and build the simple pole and zinc roofed prayer house while we will be in South Africa on Sabbatical. Please Pray for means to build the block structure in Gods good timing, according to the plans passed (The same plans as for Fathers House, which was a big saving). |
2. Praise God for providing a vehicle for Franco as he starts a new Pro-Visao Bandua Missions school in the village in Sofala, 70km from Beira, where we worked through most of 2019, and where we have supported relief efforts since day 1 after cyclone Eloise struck in February this year. Please pray for Franco and the churches there as they begin a 4 month Missions training course and for those still recovering from the cyclone. Praise God for over 30 tons of food and 500 x 7kg seed packs distributed to 500 families, victims of the cyclone, over the past 2 months. Praise God for our ‘God is love’ team who hand delivered the food, built plastic shelters for homeless widows, and shared Christ wherever they went. Our God is soo great! Pray we may end this intervention in strength and unity, next week. May God get all the glory and may the way for the gospel be open in this community. |
3. Praise God for His amazing provision of a new Mahindra pickup, to replace the Isuzu, so that we have a reliable vehicle for our 4500 km trip North, starting next week. |
4. Praise God for our sabbatical, due to begin in May and end in August. Please pray for the Royal Treasures and other ministries, during our absence. We need this replenishment, and rest quite desperately, as well as some personal counseling and trauma debriefing, but it will be very hard to leave and to go. Pray for us please! |
Thanks again for your amazing prayer support! |
Love Les |
PS Please forgive the lack of communication and especially photos over the past months, due to the sensitive nature of the work we are doing, with folk from the ISIS-devastated regions of Cabo Delgado. We are concerned for their safety. Please do not post this newsletter on social media, but please use it as a prayer guide in your churches and cell groups. Many thanks for understanding xx |
